“Key to Success: Chilly, Pepper and Salt!!”

Are you successful???
I guess a few responses.
A confident humble person might say “Yeah, I guess”,
An ambitious brain, “Yet to be”.
Someone like me hmm..say, an idiotic prankster, “Lol, What successful? Why success? YOLO DUDE, I aint thinking about that, Life is too short for all that crap”
And finally the most common response, a loud reverberating  “NO!!!!!”.

We humans (or atleast most of us) have the insatiable bug of desire,  wanting more. You might deny it, but your subconscious knows the truth. You may have convinced yourself that you are happy with all you have, but once in a while you may surprisingly find yourself wishing for just a little more….Having read so far,a thought must have popped up in a few genius souls, “It seems this guy is about to bore me with a lecture on ‘We should be content’. Satisfaction leads to eternal happiness”. And if not, Haha I appreciate your sincerity and thank you for not being judgmental. I for one was going to say something quite contrary. I believe, that little bug of insatiable desire is the best thing any living organism can have. The challenge is, using it by turning it in our favor.

Archive that thought for now. We shall come back to it eventually. I promise!!! Now, tell me what would you do if I provide you limitless resources necessary for that to happen? I am sure you thought of it without even letting the question finish. Thumbs up (not for thinking about something not happening rofl) but confirming that you’re ALIVE and look forward to something. Sometimes, we do this not because we know it’s going to happen, but just for FUN. It’s FUN to think about all you could do if you had the resources for it.  Which brings me to something we all struggle with on a daily basis “WANTING TO HAVE FUN!”  Some may say, “What’s wrong with that?”. In all honesty, Nothing at all! The problem lies in the cost being paid for FUN. If you’re rich no need to feel relieved. Cost isn’t only in monetary terms It can range from ruining organs to kicking relationships to of course suffering a huge loss. Well, what about it? .  Again, lets add this to that archive folder add come back to it (See the pattern here!).

Fun always reminds me of everything else I did not do while I was having FUN. So tell me, have you ever waited till the last moment for completing and submitting assignments?(Response: Always!!!).Then you must have FELT the meaning of the word urgency. Well unless nature not playing a vital role, this problem can be controlled. Someone like me says: Why? when this works just fine!.Thanks smarty for your input but I am trying to make a point here and hopefully by the end of this you will get it!!Considering the above example, if the deadlines are looming right above our heads we are forced to fool ourselves of practicing it properly later. That LATER gets piled on so badly that we are again forced to fool ourselves and it keeps recurring. I am sure you must got the point, where procrastination leads us.(Thoughts : Again a new concept??ok!!! But what about it??Are there any solutions??Because this is frustrating!).Well again, lets add this to that archive folder and come back to it.

Finally deep regrets never come if you miss watching an episode of your favorite tv show or perhaps losing a practice match. Regret builds on something IMPORTANT, something that mattered and we were proved unsuccessful. This thing keeps multiplying every time we think about it. So…….!

This brings me back to all the archives we were building. How to succeed? How to use that thirst for more to our benefits? How to cut the cost of FUN and exact the amount? How to make the NOT VERY URGENT-à URGENT? How to create a scenario where there is no regret at all?

Ans: PRIORITIZE : (a million brains smacked together : All that crap, for another crap?)
Want to smash your head? Well I can’t stop you but I suggest reach the end if you managed to tolerate me so far. Now the dictionary defines prioritize as ‘is to set priority; the precedence of what ever you consider set with respect to eachother’ , Okay so we all know that, so what I am telling you that you don’t already know??
The secret recipe- “3 teaspoons of chilly powder, 2 pinches of pepper and a drop of lemon in it”. If you are scratching your head,  congratulations you’re on track. If you thought this was the new herbal remedy to help PRIORITIZE…. Wishful thinking!!:P.

Enough of messing around, I have set a formula putting weights on the deciding parameters(any guesses what these parameters are??). And you will be glad on hearing that its something what will work for almost everyone. See how I sneaked in the “ALMOST”. Sorry  for covering up for failure prior telling you the solution ;) . But believe me it is tested(by me) and results are positive so far, but can we really have a key to all doors? The power lies in the hands of WHO IS APPLYING THIS FORMULA?

So the three parameters as you may already have guessed by now are IMPORTANCE>URGENCY>FUN. But if you think about it, in practice unfortunately, its always the other way round (IMPORTANCE<URGENCY<FUN). That’s the catch here!!!!!

The weighted formula is 3 x Importance ? 2 x Urgency? 1 x Fun.The reason for this weighting just like our analogy is, Chilly=Importance, if you don’t get it done you are likely to BURN later. Pepper=Urgency, cause once the pepper(deadlines) is out of the bottle, its are most likely to make you sneeze if it doesn’t reach the destination in time(Your food!). Lastly, Salt=Fun cause… well have you ever tasted something with NO SALT (fun)??? YUCK!!!
Now the job is not done yet, because I know you great minds will discover or perhaps have already discovered, FUN seldom wins. Then what about living I mentioned somewhere up there. THATS TRUE!
The crucial factor to deal with this is the frequency (how many times)of using the formula.

Now here is the drill:
1)    Rate the 3 parameters on 10 points for a PARTICULAR task keeping in mind the deadline of that task. The intense the feeling, the higher the rating.(Suppose you rated IMP= A out of 10, URG= B out of 10 and FUN= C out of 10).
2)    Now put this into the formula that is 3 x IMP? 2 x URG? 1x FUN.
(So in our case it will be 3 x A? 2 x B? 1 x C).
3)    Add the 3 scores. That’s the score of that particular task.
4)    Similarly follow the drill for the other tasks we need to choose from.
5)    Compare the score they got with each other and which ever is the greatest, WINS!! and needs to be done.
6)    Suppose if the number of months left to the deadline is more than 5, follow the above drill for all the tasks in the plateonce  every month. If the number of months left is less than 5; use the formula every week (one step down to the given unit). For best results try 2 or 3 steps down(i.e every day in this case), I sense the future managing directors getting the drill J.

Anyway PRIORITIZE!! And see yourself saying “HELL YEAH!!!” everytime you are asked the success question. Thanks for your patience so far, Good Luck!

PS: The best part (my favorite) still remains.
I have written few lines summarizing the whole concept; if a lil more left try this too. By now you must have figured out that it is nothing new what I told you, its just me putting known facts together to solve the mystery, the popular enigma.

                                    AN ENIGMATIC KNOWING

Sensory organs cry with ease,
Internal of those, scream please;
If last day of life, best thing ever,
We know the truth whatsoever!

Nature’s no play, I shout clear;
Many things still crucial OH DEAR!!
Band-aid visible, what a relief,
Stacks not worked, the same old grief.

If lived enough, define heartache?
HAHA you can stop, for god sake.
Sent by the lord, with an altruistic angle;
Chilly P he loves, please don’t strangle.

Cough happens for a reason,
Deal with the root, that’s my vision.
3 teaspoons of turmeric, 2 of salt, 1 table spoon of honey,
At regular intervals, saves money!

Being serious makes no sense,
Be sincere, that’s it, through my lens.
On an ending note I say good bye,
See you soon; your response “ Oh NO WHY ?”.

Let us all blossom the withered flowers.

Let’s start this one with a little world of imagination. Imagine you are walking down a street with your most favourite candy that you’ve been awaiting to eat since many days and just as you are about to unwrap it and stick it into the mouth, you see a small beggar’s child staring at your candy helplessly. Without a second thought you hand it over to that child and the silent smile on his face expressed everything. No wonder that child would have been very happy with that tiny feast.

To live, we fall into all sorts of businesses, just to achieve ‘pleasure’. There is one kind of pleasure which we do for enjoyment like listening music, shopping (particularly when on-sale), watching favourite movies, hanging out with friends, eating in our all-time-fav place, etc. and a lot of such other stuff. And there is other kind of pleasure which gives a smile of relief on our face, example, like the one you just read above! Recall the recent tragedy at Jammu and Kashmir. Multiple of thousands of citizens there, lost everything and got trapped in between the aghast. When they were being rescued, no wonder that would have been their happiest day and would have showered the blessings on the rescuers, but even more than that, the life saviors would have felt a peace of eternal bliss by helping them!

Read out this story to get me straight to the point.

It’s a story about some youngsters pursuing the second year of an engineering college. Like any common collegian, it was their usual random day, with exams on head and to put aside the stress, they decided to stroll out for a power-feed of snacks. At their regular stall, a small boy aged roughly around 8 served their order. By mistake, he spilled the tea on one of the friends’. The owner roared at the poor kid, but somehow they managed to make a peace. After they moved back to their rooms, everyone’s minds were back to the study but one mind was still stuck in that kid’s helpless life. He couldn’t help himself, stop feeling the overwhelmed sympathy that had just bred inside him. He thought, this dynamic youthfulness and higher education is of no use if it is not spent on the poor beings. He expressed his idea to all of his friends and there was no reason of denying it. With a motto of educating as many child-labours, as well as small underage children who could not afford to go in schools and study, they made their first step of nobility by admitting that small boy (that had served them in the stall) in the school. Of course, it was a hard task, convincing his parents, finding the sponsor, but that boy had a brilliant mind which definitely was not meant to be wasted in laboring at any food-stall. Those friends then spent their spare time in the town looking out for such brilliant capable minds. Soon, their act of grandeur spread amongst other students of college and the group kept expanding and so did the number of children. The group was turned into an NGO named ‘Bachhpan’.

Friends, the above one is not any book-written story. It’s a real life chapter of those friends. ‘Bachhpan’ (https://m.facebook.com/Bachhpan) was started in 2011, by the students of one college at Vallabh-Vidhyanagar (Anand), a small town of India. The organization is divided into two main projects Aadhar and Pathshala. Today, under project Aadhar, 45 children are being admitted in the schools and under Pathshala, around 400 poor children get their basic education. Pathshalas are actually small tuition gatherings, where at regular interval of days, the college students go to teach in the slum areas. Students, not only from the founding college but also other nearby colleges feels proud to be the part of this organization. It has also started expanding in three other districts.

So, my point is, if a simple group of collegians can give a share of humanity to this world, why can’t we? Charity begins at home. When you will see a needy child, growing up as a good civilian of whom you are the cause, you will receive the best boon of blessings.

It is said that child-labour has been banned. Has it really? According to UNICEF, the recent count of child labours in the world is around 218 millions. The global rate of educated population of the world is 84%. Think of the considerable amount of reduction in child-labours if each of the literate person descends his education to at least one kid. Everyday, media, newspapers, and magazines come up with charities done by the government, celebrities, the NGOs, etc. They are already known to you. Now, it’s your turn!

Whenever you think ' WHY ME ? '

Friends, I am going to talk in this article about a simple word, Adversity.
What is adversity?

We can say it’s a term generally defined as, A state of misfortune, or, A state of adverse conditions. Google defines it as,
A state of hardship or affliction; misfortune.
      A calamitous event.

Did it really define it to the point?
Nope, I don’t think so!

It’s very obvious in one way or other, each and every living being on this earth, has experienced it. From the minute ants till the giant elephants, and we all of course! Not only after an infant enters this world but right from the time, before a baby is born, with a plethora of care, it has to survive in a mother’s womb. A minute mistake in this may lead to any fatal situation!

As it grows, it enters in the competitive world. Then it might be a competition with its siblings or friends, or winning a small race. Next it comes up with the challenges of scoring good grades or winning up a trophy, or beating someone in the play-station. As a grown up adult, it has to stabilize with all the circles, like family, friends, a special someone and above all ‘The self’.
Thus, in every phase of our life, there comes this situation called “Adversity” to what most of us consider mere lack of fate. ‘Maybe it was not the right direction for us’, we think and drop down the trauma there or I should say drop down one trauma and enter into another trauma of grievance! All of us has gone through ‘Why me?!!?’ dose several of times, isn’t it?  Well, I’ll come back to this question later. Let’s read one short biography first.

By 2007, the world got introduced to an immense and an extraordinary novelist. Her seven striking hit series of the novels, year by year in a row, became the world’s best-seller! Can you venture a guess who am I talking about? (Oh yeah, Potter fans I hear that right!) J. K. Rowling-aka-Joanne Rowling. Her success is not unknown to anyone. I wanna take you back in 1990, in a four hours delayed train trip from Manchester to London. This was the moment when an idea coined up in her mind. A young boy attends a magical school of witchcraft and wizardry. The idea soon turned into implementation. She began to write right as she reached destined junction! She was pretty excited about her idea of writing something big but unfortunately before she could talk about it to anyone the following December she lost her mother. She got married two years later and gave a birth to baby girl the next year. Before that, she had already suffered a miscarriage. Year 1993; this was the year when dark clouds grounded upon her life, when her marriage got shattered. They say she endured domestic abuses. Rowling, totally devastated, marked herself growing as a total failure. A woman; who, in her mediocre age, lost the company of her mother; whose marriage turned out to a failure; who was jobless and on whom a small child was relying. All these intercepted a clinical depression and even contingent suicide. However, you always have to live for your growing kid. Rowling lived on welfare benefits. Here, the welfare benefit means financial assistance allotted by the state to the needy individuals. By 1995, she finished her first manuscript. It was submitted to twelve publishing houses, all of which rejected. Somehow, Barry Cunningham agreed to publish, though advised Rowling to get a day job since she had a little chance of making money in children books. She continued writing with a faith. Well well, fortune favors the brave and so it did in the case of J. K. Within five years her faith and perseverance lead her from a shatter pated lady to a multimillionaire!

This was just a minor example. Friends, if you give it a deep thought, everyone around you and everything that you see, is trying to say out loud the lesson, “Do not give up”. Say, the television. Basically what’s the idea of every daily soaps, most of your favorite series, any kids’ superhero movie, or the dark touchy love-stories? In all of these, the lead’s life is ruined to the core, so that they can come out sparkling at their best.

It’s very well said that man is a social animal. Now, what’s the difference between actual animals and so-called social animal? We say, humans have got minds that are wise. Are they really? If your answer is yes, I would contradict over here. I say, all the creatures but humans are wiser!

Let me explain why.
Do you remember, as a kid, at least once, you must have played with the little ants, tortured them by blocking their way. Did you mark, no matter how many times you kept your hands or objects on their path, they never took a U-turn from their direction and instead moved aside and continued ahead! Birds! Howsoever time we make them fly; they won’t stop catching their prey. Then, monkeys! Even they won’t stop running after their food by any hook or crook.
Deeply thinking, all of the creatures have this striving ability. Practically, we can say that they are wiser than mankind. And what do we do in such loathed situations, enter question à “Why me!??”

Why you, because somewhere your fate knows you are strong enough to rescue yourself. Just speaking out loud that ‘I am the Boss of Me!’ won’t change your attitude. Life keeps challenging you every day. Turning the tables and challenging your life makes you the Boss of You. Courage is the need of situation. As without it, Jerry could never have outwitted Tom, little Nemo could never have met its daddy, Tweety could have never have got rid of Sylvester, Richie Rich could never have saved his property loots, Scooby Doo and his friends wouldn’t have been able to solve mysteries, poor Simba cub couldn’t have managed to become the Lion King and all the superheroes of the Justice League would never have emerged.
So now, we can discover here, the new definition of Adversity:
The state or calamitous situation; in which you are the chosen one, so that you can recreate the same into some constructive one.

Along With a Ticking Clock..

Once, Mahatma Gandhi was travelling in the train way up to Darjeeling. In Darjeeling, there are small toy trains that travel uphill. Now, in the midst of the journey the engine somehow got disconnected from the coaches and continued running forward while other coaches rushed down backwards. It’s so golly to explain what a person seated in a train, heavily sliding backwards with a view of deep valley of the great Himalayas on one side and no way of jumping off such speedy train! All the passengers were in rush and hush and in the middle of all this panic Gandhiji was dictating letters. He asked his colleague to take dictation. That person tried to explain the fact of the situation to what Gandhiji replied, “Suppose we get saved, we would have wasted all this time. If we die, we die. But if we are saved, we wasted so much time? So, come on, take dictation.”It obviously sounds insane. But let me remind you that this was the man who was once thrown out from the British drenched train, when he was infamous and to the contrary with the same strategy that I shared above, he threw ALL of them out of India. This is how all the man with principles and most of the amateurs have brightened up before us.

With every miniature lapse of second we are heading to the dead end. There have been world famous sayings since ages like “Time is money”, “Never waste time”, “The time gone will never come back”, blah blah and many more of them. To most of us they really seem some rusted bizarre thoughts. But basically, we all are running with the shortage of time. We don’t have time to go meet or talk to our friends and even family. We lack the capability of finishing off the assignments and meeting up the deadlines. We don’t have time to take a moment and pray that almighty who gave us such a beautiful life. We don’t have time even to spend in doing things we love or cultivate the dreamt hobbies!

Why so?
Seems like it has turned into a serious global problem!

All of us have at least that one person, that one exceptionally extraordinary persona, whose just one view brings a pause to our motion, no matter howsoever crucial work we are engaged into. In normal language, the one whose we are fan of. Of course, we highly adore their glory and keep praising for how magnificently superb they are in their particular patches. Every day, every moment, there arrives a new trend of any new multi-star or a sportsperson. And it has become a tradition that it must be followed asap by a true fan, then whether it’s a cool outwitted haircut or any voguish fashion myth!
Now, my question is to all those dear fans.
How do you rate the success of your loving stars?
By the fact that how perfectly well their life is going now? Or by the sweat of strain they had to pass through to reach where they are now?

People easily envy and crave for the glam and fame of all the living legends, whilst copy them but hardly care to seek for the virtues they adopted. Apart from excessive struggle and years of patience and even finally sustaining their goals, there’s one thing common in all of them that they maintain every day, i.e., Time Management.

Let’s see what few of them have to say on it.
It’s very obvious that if you imagine yourself at the position of second richest entertainer of the world, what else would you live more for? Perhaps, the actual owner of that position, King Khan fame SRK, believes that every morning when he wakes up, he thinks it’s a new day of his career. He still have many new stuff to learn and he tries to do his best, thinking that the day is the last one! That’s the reason that has kept his righteous for work till date.

The tennis superstar cum fashion diva, Maria Sharapova says, “I like to stay busy. When I wake up in the morning, I put on my sports gear and practice and when I think I’ve practiced much on my court, my brain is always working. I am still young and I have so much energy. When I sit on my couch to rest only for an hour, I can’t do this anymore. I got to get going.”

In one speech, present Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi says, “People who say they don’t have time are those who actually do not have anything to do. Those who are consistently working never sense its shortage.”

That’s true! Every next person that meets up is always ready with an explanation of not having enough time to spend. People keenly working never come up with any lame excuses and on the other hand the one following leisure rules are always loaded with their minute proclamations. It’s a huge misconception that a handful burden of work leads to exhaustion and complaints. Actually, right person finds satisfaction of time nevertheless he is loaded with work. It’s the most common belief of the mass, ‘Relax first, things pending can be done later.’ You even make a backup time-table of completing it, but to the distress you’re never able to fulfill it up at the end. If you’ve marked at all, in the process of relaxing keeping the pending stuff aside, there’s always a pointer poking into your head that keeps repeating, “You have to get it done, You have to get it done, You have to get it done….”

Urghh! Damn it and get it done! It won’t take ages to finish it off. Then see, the comfort of that leisureliness. Its bliss is more worthy than the former ones.

We all are habitual with checking out what’s up on the clock. Most often, the lock screens, as it’s a cell-phone age. Its quite of interest to know that our these daily companions have been through a huge evolution. It almost took a decade of centuries to come up with well facilitated pendulum clock. The evolution initiated with sun-dials, then sand clocks, water clocks, elephant clocks, castle clocks, astronomical clocks, and pendulum clocks, finally following the era of Watches! It’s a shame for the ones of this generation if they don’t value such an enormous contribution of our late scientists and ancestors. No matter how exclusively branded watches you wear, their value is of zero monetary if you don’t know the value of time they show.

We conclude here, the two main categories of humans:

1. Those who don’t know how to spend time.
2. Those who don’t know how to SPEND time.

It’s your choice, in which category you wanna lay.
